Key West Business Guild Parade Float Application and Release
**The KWBG requests a $20 donation per entry. Your donation will help cover costs of parade security and other expenses.
FLOATS: Any length but must be maneuverable; 15′ maximum width; 12′ maximum height from the ground; Straight rigs only. Two walking monitors required per 15′ of entry length to accompany float.
SUBMIT ENTRY FORM: Entry forms must be received by Friday, May 17th, 2024.
PARADE LINE-UP: Please check-in floats or vehicles by 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 9th at the parking lot in the Truman Annex (adjacent to the splash pad on Southard Street).
Participants walking or riding in the parade must be in place by 4:30pm. The Parade will kick-off at 5pm and follow the parade route down Duval Street to the 1300 block of Duval.
We suggest you bring water to keep hydrated during the parade. All floats must carry fire extinguisher and adhere to city, police, and fire regulations. No live fires. No refueling on the parade route. No alcohol or drugs.
No nudity or lewd behavior will be allowed.
In consideration of their sponsorship of Pride Parade and all its attendant activities (the “Event”), I, the undersigned, on behalf of myself and all of my employees and/or volunteers participating in the Pride Parade, hereby release and forever discharge the Key West Business Guild and the City of Key West and its respective officers, agents and employees (the “Sponsors”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, obligations, expenses, actions and causes of action whatsoever against the Sponsor arising out of or related in any way to any property damage, personal injury, including death, or any other loss, damage or injury sustained by the undersigned as a result of participation by the undersigned and/or employees and/or volunteers in the Event.
The undersigned, being fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in participating in the Event, hereby elects voluntarily to engage in such activity and voluntarily assumes all risk of loss, damage, or injury, including death that may be sustained by the undersigned, or any property of the undersigned, while engaged in such activity.
This release shall be binding upon the distributes, heirs, next of kin, personal representatives, executors, and administrators of the undersigned.
The undersigned also acknowledges the fact that Sponsor may publish photographs of the Event to be used in connection with the promotion and advertising of Pride, Key West, or similar future events, the undersigned hereby grants to Sponsor the right to use his/her likeness in photographs, or on film, or videotape in the above promotional and advertising materials and may be exhibited and re-exhibited without limitation or liability.
This release agreement shall extend to all claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever arising wholly or in part from any act or omission of the Sponsor, its officers, agents and employees or any one or more of them.
